The deluge of teasing Alien: Covenant photos continues today, with the latest image inviting you down a dark, familiar corridor. Could this be taken from the interior of a Juggernaut ship? We’re inclined to believe so.

Hailing from the official Alien Twitter feed, the above still came tethered with yet another cryptic number: 185612082104. The overriding theory online is that these digits are actually timestamps, given all three photos released thus far end in 2104, the year in which Alien: Covenant reportedly takes place. In case you’re not to speed, those previous posts depicted Colonial Marines moseying through tall grass under the veil of darkness and what we assume to be the Covenant’s sleeping quarters.

Meanwhile, just yesterday Katherine Waterston got a very Ripley-esque action shot of her own, leading to a flurry of speculation claiming that Waterston’s Daniels is in some ways related to Ellen Ripley. Covenant is a prequel, remember, so it’s not outside the realm of possibility.

Either way, it’s shaping up to be a very busy week in the 20th Century Fox camp, with all signs pointing to the studio unleashing the first official Alien: Covenant trailer over the next few days. Trailer Track reports that somewhat surprisingly, Fox isn’t expected to attach said snippet to Assassin’s Creed, but considering the positive wave of reactions to an early screening, fans can certainly look forward to the first look at Scott’s prequel/sequel in motion – regardless of when it slithers onto the interwebs.

Alien: Covenant is due to arrive on May 19, 2017. Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Jussie Smollett and Amy Seimetz co-star.
