Another Round Of Deadpool 2 Set Pics Finds Ryan Reynolds Kitted Out As The Merc With A Mouth

One eagle-eyed Twitter user has posted new Deadpool 2 set pics that find Ryan Reynolds kitted out as the Merc With a Mouth.

We’ve seen a partially clothed Merc With a Mouth crash a birthday party and an unmasked Wade Wilson confronting some offscreen baddie in the torrential rain – now, an eagle-eyed Twitter user has unearthed three all-new set photos for Deadpool 2 that find Ryan Reynolds suited and booted as the titular anti-hero.

First spotted by CBM, the images are once again taken from the sequel’s Vancouver set, as Reynolds and the crew orchestrate a nighttime shoot. Overhead lights help illuminate the scene, with one photo, in particular, showcasing the Merc kicking back on a nearby deck chair as he awaits further instructions. Whether this is actually part of the nighttime sequence remains to be seen, but there’s a good chance Ryan Reynolds is simply embracing the irreverent spirit of the character.

Costume-wise, Deadpool 2 looks to feature the same blood-red outfit that Wade Wilson first donned back in 2016 – replete with katanas and dual pistols – and if there have been any tweaks made in the wardrobe department, they look to be relatively minor. Besides, those of you who ventured out to see Logan on opening day will have laid eyes on that cracking Deadpool 2 teaser trailer. Let’s just hope Wade has less trouble suiting up come 2018.

Featuring an ensemble anchored by Cable (Josh Brolin) and Domino (Zazie Beetz), the Deadpool 2 cast sheet has also made room in its ranks for up-and-comer Julian Dennison, while fans can look forward to seeing a host of familiar faces including Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), T.J. Miller (Weasel), and Dopinder (Karan Son).

Deadpool 2 has been penciled in for release on June 1st, 2018. One glance at the Fox release slate will tell you that the David Leitch-directed sequel is sandwiched between New Mutants (April 13th) and X-Men: Dark Phoenix (November 2nd, 2018), and the studio has already staked out dates for another six Marvel movies between now and 2021.
