New Ant-Man And The Wasp Promo Art Teases The Return Of Giant-Man

Check out this new promo art which teases the return of Scott Lang as Giant-Man in the upcoming sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Though all Marvel fans can think about right now is Avengers: Infinity War, let’s not forget that there’s another MCU movie coming up this year. July sees the arrival of Ant-Man and the Wasp, the sequel to 2015’s solo flick starring Paul Rudd as the astonishing shrinking superhero of the title. And as well as Evangeline Lilly’s Hope getting her own super-suit, it looks like Scott Lang will show off more of his size-changing powers in the movie, too.

As you can see in the gallery below, a new Ant-Man and the Wasp T-shirt depicts some promo art featuring Scott peering around a building, teasing that he’s going to use his Giant-Man ability in the film. If you’ll recall, he first demonstrated that he was able to grow to an enormous height, as well as his knack for shrinking to the size of an insect, back in Captain America: Civil War.

Memorably, he tried it out when taking part in the big airport battle, serving alongside Steve Rogers’ Team Cap. Spider-Man was smart enough to take him down like an AT-AT though, from “that really old movie” The Empire Strikes Back.

Seeing as Giant-Man only appeared in a cameo in Civil War, it makes sense that Ant-Man 2 would further explore how this ability could come in handy. We’ve already seen a hint of the super-sized Scott in the first trailer for the film, too, as the hero terrifies a ferry full of people by emerging from the water like Godzilla.

We’re also pretty sure we’ll see another character make use of this power in the sequel. Laurence Fishburne is joining the MCU as Bill Foster, an old colleague and ally of Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym. In the comics, Foster is the superhero Goliath, who can grow to gigantic sizes, as well.

Following Avengers: Infinity War’s arrival on April 27th, Ant-Man and the Wasp crawls into cinemas on July 6th.
