Thanos And Iron Man Share A Laugh In This BTS Pic From Avengers: Infinity War

Reddit has uncovered a brand new behind-the-scenes photo from Avengers: Infinity War, and this one is all about Thanos and Iron Man.

The only thing more impressive and jaw-dropping than Avengers: Infinity War is the sheer amount of legwork that went into creating Marvel’s biggest ever movie – so far, at least.

Be it the logistics involved in managing a 25-person cast or the incredible SFX behind Thanos’ facial animations, it’s fair to say that, when it comes to Infinity War, Marvel Studios knocked it out of the park, and we simply can’t wait until the sequel’s Blu-ray arrives in August so we’re able to delve a little deeper beneath the surface.

Speaking of which, over on Reddit, a never-before-seen shot of Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man) and Deadpool 2 star Josh Brolin (Thanos) has surfaced, and let’s just say this one finds levity amid the apocalyptic action. I could even go so far as to say that this photo brings a smile to my face…

Dressed in full mo-cap gear, Josh Brolin’s deeply nuanced performance as the Mad Titan was arguably one of the many highlights from Avengers: Infinity War, particularly when you consider that, by and large, the MCU has always struggled in the villain department. He’s also game to reprise the role of Thanos beyond Avengers 4, leading many to conclude that the Mad Titan is already a shoo-in for the Eternals movie that’s just entered the early stages of development.

Meanwhile, Tony Stark looks a little worse for wear, indicating that this photo was captured between takes as the Infinity War cast and crew shot the sequel’s massive battle sequence on Titan. And with the Avengers: Infinity War on course for a Blu-ray release this summer, it shouldn’t be too much longer before we can take a closer look at what is undoubtedly one of the film’s more impressive scenes – not least for its cutting-edge CGI.
