Avengers: Infinity War Cast Reveal How They Want To See Their Characters Die

Speaking to MTV, the cast of Avengers: Infinity War have revealed how they'd like to see their characters die - should they meet their end one day.

With the exception of Uncle Ben and Bruce Wayne’s parents, no one really dies in comic books, right?

That phrase gets tossed around quite a lot when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, too, as the only real person of interest to bite the bullet – so far, at least – is Agent Phil Coulson. And even he was resurrected for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

So, it’s fair to say that Marvel tends to shy away from permanent deaths when dealing with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and their many allies – Tony Stark fell back to Earth and was rudely awoken by a rampaging Hulk in The Avengers, while in Guardians of the Galaxy, Peter Quill survived an unscheduled spacewalk in order to save Gamora. The list goes on, really. But thanks to Avengers: Infinity War, that’s all about to change.

We’ve been told many times now that the film will bring about the death of at least one or two characters, and unlike in most other MCU efforts that’ve featured someone being killed, it’ll be significant heroes meeting their end. Vision and Drax have both been tossed around as likely candidates, but we can’t say for sure who it might be that doesn’t make it out of the pic alive. All we know is that “heads will roll,” according to Robert Downey Jr.

Of course, the cast isn’t giving away any spoilers, either, but while talking with MTV at a recent fan event, the likes of Paul Bettany, Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen and Letitia Wright revealed how they’d like to see their characters die. Obviously, this is all hypothetical, as there’s nothing to say that any of these actors are at the end of their time in the MCU, but should Infinity War be it for them, they’ve thought up some creative ways to go out.

Pretty amusing, eh? Still, the question remains: which Marvel hero(es) will be killed off on April 27th? Word is Joe and Anthony Russo were informed about the expendable characters long before Avengers: Infinity War began filming, so we’re inclined to believe that Phase One individuals like War Machine, Captain America, and perhaps even Iron Man are all in the firing line. We certainly hope that’s not the case, but one way or another, we’ll find out soon enough.
