Avengers: Infinity War Directors Tease That The Next Trailer Is Imminent

Taking to social media, Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo have teased the film's next and final trailer.

Whether you’re a lapsed fan of comic book movies or a lifelong Marvel enthusiast, Avengers: Infinity War has earned its status as one of 2018’s most anticipated films.

Why, you ask? Well, for one, it’s building on a decade-long legacy that can be traced all the way back to Jon Favreau’s original Iron Man, which soon became ground zero of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and planted the seeds for everything to come. Speaking of which, in the intervening years since, the MCU has earned more than $14 billion in box office receipts, after the recently-released (and wildly successful!) Black Panther movie dragged Marvel’s shared universe to dizzying new heights.

So, it almost goes without saying that Avengers: Infinity War, what with its incredible ensemble cast and palpable sense of history, is a special, defining moment for the MCU in and of itself. And now, as we inch closer and closer to release, fans are on tenterhooks as they wait not so patiently for that next and final trailer.

It was originally said to be arriving back at the end of February, before speculation pointed to the end of last week. Following that, the rumor mill went into overdrive with reports that it’d be debuting on Tuesday, and now here we are and still nothing. But thanks to the film’s directors, we can at least confirm that it’s imminent.

Taking to social media to tease the release of the next preview, much like they did with the first one, Joe and Anthony Russo simply wrote: GIVE TRAILER INFINITY. It’s a cryptic and fairly uninformative Tweet, but as we said, they did something similar back before the last one hit the web and as such, we imagine the next trailer for Avengers: Infinity War will be here any day now. Probably by week’s end, if we’re lucky.

If you ask us, we’re betting on Friday, as that’s when tickets go on sale. But without any word from Marvel just yet, all we can do right now is continue to sit here, as patiently as we can, while we await a new look at what the Russo brothers have in store for us with Avengers: Infinity War.
