After six years of build-up, Josh Brolin’s Thanos will finally make his mark on the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming team-up movie which will kickstart the beginning of the end of this first decade of the franchise. And, on a smaller scale, the film will also see many of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes change their looks, too.

Take Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, for example. Natasha Romanoff has always been a redhead in previous pics, but Infinity War will see her go blonde. It’ll no doubt represent a significant change for the character on the inside, as well. Or at least, that’s what this new promo (above) promises. As it transitions from a still of the old Black Widow to footage from the upcoming event film, an exciting tagline appears on screen: “This changes everything.”

There is an in-universe reason for Natasha’s new hairstyle, of course. At the end of Captain America: Civil War, Steve Rogers and the rest of Team Cap ended up as fugitives on the run from their old allies and the government. Since then, we know that the hero formally known as Captain America and Black Widow have been carrying out underground crime-fighting work on the down-low. Much like Steve’s fetching new beard, Natasha’s blonde locks have helped her stayed undetected for the past two to three years.

Rogers and Romanoff aren’t the only heroes who have had their hair cut since the last Avengers movie, either. The God of Thunder got his hair shorn off in last year’s Thor: Ragnarok and set photos have revealed that Hawkeye will sport a mohawk in Infinity War, even if the trailers for the film have resolutely refused to feature any footage of him. Likewise, Bucky Barnes has also got himself a new bionic arm during his stay in Wakanda.

We’ll get to see just how much everything has changed when Avengers: Infinity War hits cinemas on April 27th.
