With two MCU credits already to his name (read: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming), Tom Holland is gearing up for his biggest Marvel role to date: Avengers: Infinity War.

It’s a cinematic crossover 10 years in the making, but on the ground level, a handful of fans are now beginning to wonder whether Holland’s Peter Parker can be classified as an Avenger after downing the Vulture and fighting alongside Team Iron Man during the throes of Civil War.

Thankfully, HeyUGuys was on-hand to ask that very question to Tom Holland, who is currently out promoting Infinity War alongside Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) and Tom Hiddleston, whose Loki appears to be up to no good once again.

As for Spidey’s classification as an Avenger, Holland told the outlet that, yes, he now considers his on-screen hero to be a key member of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

I think he is, yeah. I think he is now officially an Avenger.

Meanwhile, unlike Cumberbatch, Tom Holland is yet to read the full script for Infinity War – not that it concerns him, given he’s placed his trust wholeheartedly in Joe and Anthony Russo.

I don’t know the answer to that question because I haven’t actually read the script. It’s tough, but when you have directors like the Russos who you trust so much, it’s kind of easy, because you just listen to what they have to say, you do as you’re told, and it turned out great. It’s all down to them, really.

On April 27th, Avengers: Infinity War opens big, and we’re now hearing that a $225 million opening at the domestic box office is well within reach.
