Oh god, here we go. More rumours regarding The Dark Knight Rises. This one comes from Comic Book Movie and they claim that their source is very reliable. I’m not sure if I believe it or not but check it out and let us know what you think. Be warned, this can be considered a spoiler.

The information isn’t that big and really isn’t anything to get too excited about, but for all you eager fans, here’s a new tidbit about the plot. Apparently, Bane and Batman will go head to head in some combat and their first fight will result in Bane breaking Batman’s back. This is something that happens in Batman Knightfall and word on the street is that Christopher Nolan is using that story arc for inspiration.

Like I said, it’s not much but if Nolan is indeed using that event from Batman Knightfall it makes me wonder, what other events from Knightfall will he use? Is it really going to act as the story for the film? If Bruce Wayne is indeed out of commission with a broken back for most of the film, is that something fans would really want to see? What kind of film would it be if Bruce Wayne only donned the cape in a few scenes? Too many questions and too few answers.

Check out the plot summary for Knightfall below and let us know what you think of the latest rumor regarding The Dark Knight Rises.

In ‘Knightfall,’ a middle-aged Batman, (Bruce Wayne) who is losing his grip on Gotham gets his back broken in a battle with Bane. While recovering, Wayne appoints a man, Jean-Paul Valley to take on the mantle of Batman. Valley’s methods as Batman differ greatly from Wayne’s however, as he becomes brutally violent against even the most common of criminals. He also modifies the Bat-suit to become deadlier adding things such as claws and flamethrowers.
