Batman Crashes Joker’s Party In Latest Suicide Squad Set Video

With his trusty vehicular companion already spotted on the set of David Ayer's Suicide Squad, it was only a matter of time before The Caped Crusader himself showed up to foil the Joker's party on the streets of Toronto. As if Jared Leto's psychotic criminal didn't already have his hands full with his eclectic love interest Harley Quinn, the latest stream of videos hitting the interwebs showcase Ben Affleck's Batman hitching a ride on the roof of the Joker's flashy sports car.

This is the first footage of The World’s Greatest Detective from the production, after his involvement in Ayer’s villain-centric feature first broke a few weeks back. How exactly this ties into the overarching plot and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice remains to be seen – for instance, will Jared Leto cameo in Zack Snyder’s titanic film next year? – but it’s exciting to see the two age-old icons come to blows once again, even if this interpretation is a million miles away from that found in The Dark Knight.

While it will no doubt get ardent DC fans chomping at the bit, Suicide Squad is primarily about the dynamic found in Task Force X, which will be rounded out by Will Smith (Deadshot), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Jai Courtney (Boomerang), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Raymond Olubawale (King Shark), model-cum-actress Cara Delevingne (The Enchantress) and Margot Robbie and Leto in those aforementioned roles. .

David Ayer’s Suicide Squad will open in a post-Dawn of Justice world come August 5, 2016.
