DC’s first ever R-rated animated feature will hit DVD and Blu-ray on June 23, but if you hold off just a couple of days you’ll get to see the highly anticipated adaptation of Alan Moore’s controversial classic, Batman: The Killing Joke, up on the big screen.

It’s been officially announced that Fathom Events, in partnership with Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, will release the film into select theaters for one-night only on Monday, July 25. We know there will be two screenings, (one at 7:30 PM and another at 10:00 PM), but details on which specific theaters will be showing the animated flick have not been released.

In addition, there will be an introduction by none other than Mark Hamill (who provides the voice of The Joker), and a never-before-seen documentary about his casting and the making of the movie.

Tickets for Batman: The Killing Joke are expected to go on sale on Friday, June 17. Tell us, will you be catching the film on the big screen? Let us know by commenting below.
