Unfortunately, we still don’t know very much about Batman vs. Superman. Sure, we’ve been hearing quite a bit about the cast lately, but when it comes to plot and character details, there’s not much to go on. No one seems to be saying very much, either. When questioned about what we can expect from what is probably one of the most anticipated films, ever, those involved usually give pretty vague answers, not really revealing anything significant.
Despite this, we decided to try our luck last week at the Draft Day press junket, where we sat down with Jennifer Garner to discuss her new film. While speaking with her, we threw in a quick little Batman vs. Superman question. Unfortunately, the actress didn’t have a lot to say, telling us that she’d get in trouble from Batman himself if she spoke about the film. That being said, she did tell us that her husband, Ben Affleck, has been working out like crazy and has 17-inch biceps.

Now, usually, something like this wouldn’t even be worth reporting on. I mean, almost any actor who takes on a superhero role is going to have to bulk up. That’s to be expected. The reason we feel that it’s important to mention this though is because it gives us an idea of what kind of Batman we’ll be seeing in the film. For months now, we’ve been hearing that the Caped Crusader will be “tired and weary” in Batman vs. Superman. From what Garner is saying though, it sounds like the character will still be in tip-top shape. Not only that, but combine those 17-inch biceps with Affleck’s towering 6’4 height, and we have what is undoubtedly the most physically imposing Batman, ever.
Again, I know it’s not much, and Garner’s comments about her husband working out likely mean nothing, but it’s still interesting to hear that Big Ben will be all bulked up for the role, as previous character descriptions have painted a picture of the Caped Crusader as an older man who isn’t at his physical peak.
You can check out Jennifer Garner’s comments in the video below and come to your own conclusion on whether they’re significant or not. Either way, if there’s one thing we can be sure of, it’s that Ben Affleck will definitely look the part when Batman vs. Superman releases on May 6th, 2016.
