Earlier this week, we were treated to the latest theatrical trailer for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, which has since sparked a veritable brush fire online. Despite what your reaction may have been, most of what this reporter has seen has been positive. Regardless of where peoples’ opinions may rest, we can all agree on one thing: Warner Bros. certainly got people talking.
It seems that Ben Affleck, Batman himself, is really making his rounds this week. After introducing the second theatrical trailer for the film Wednesday night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, he decided to stop by another ABC show, Good Morning America.
The trailer that he introduced on this particular show isn’t quite as long as the one from two nights ago. While it does contain the reveal of the brutish villain Doomsday, it doesn’t connect the dots between him and General Zod, which some may have preferred to not be privy to before the film’s release. An alternate shot of Lex Luthor can also be spotted.
Speaking of the Doomsday reveal, it should not come as too much of a surprise given the myriad of rumors over the past two years as well as the film’s portentous official synopsis:
Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
