Ben Affleck Owns Justin Timberlake In New Runner Runner Trailer

What seems to have been forgotten in the whole Ben Affleck Batman saga is the fact that Affleck has other things happening between now and Batman Vs. Superman. Some of those projects you might even want to be excited for, such as Runner Runner. If you aren't keen on watching Affleck play a superhero, that film should be extra exciting, as it looks like he's playing the farthest thing from the good guy. If you want proof of that, a new trailer has released for the film, showing just how evil Affleck is going to be.

What seems to have been forgotten in the whole Ben Affleck Batman saga is the fact that Affleck has other things happening between now and Batman vs. Superman. In fact, some of those projects are things you might even want to be excited for, such as Runner Runner. If you aren’t keen on watching Affleck play a superhero, that film should be extra exciting, as it looks like he’s playing the farthest thing from the good guy. If you need proof of that, a new trailer has released for the film, showing just how evil Affleck is going to be.

This trailer has a ton of new footage that we haven’t seen yet, showing a lot more action than the first trailer. We get to see Justin Timberlake running through the streets with a car in hot pursuit, in addition to some footage of Timberlake’s character’s father being kidnapped. They also included Affleck’s furious speech about taking a beating again, which I have no complaints about.

Coming from director Brad Furman (The Lincoln Lawyer) and writers Brian Koppelman & David Levien (Ocean’s 13, Runaway Jury), this seems like it should be one of the more exciting films of the fall. While I don’t expect it to be on the award-contender level of many films coming out in the weeks to follow, it should be an entertaining crime thriller, with plenty of enjoyable actors to watch.

Personally, I’m very excited to watch Affleck as a villain. He hasn’t had too many opportunities to play properly sinister characters, and we’ve certainly never seen him feed anyone to alligators before. It should serve as an interesting change of pace.

Runner Runner hits theaters October 4th, and also stars Anthony Mackie, Gemma Arterton, and Ben Schwartz.

What do you think of this new trailer for Runner Runner? Are you excited for the film? Check out the trailer below and then head on down to the comments section to share your thoughts.
