Fourteen years after taking to the catwalks as Derek Zoolander and Hansel in the hit original, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson today returned to the fashion scene at the Valentino’s show in Paris to formally — and hilariously — announce Zoolander 2, which is due to hit theaters on February 12, 2016.

Remaining in character as dumb and dumber 2.0, the pair brought their A game to the runway, though the jury is still out on which look they were modelling. The infamous Blue Steel? Magnum? We’ll let you decide.

Shortly after their appearance, Paramount Pictures confirmed the sequel’s release date via Twitter.

Given that the first film launched all the way back in 2001, talk of a Zoolander 2 has been simmering on the brink of development for quite some time. We’ve always known that Ben Stiller was keen on the idea, though it’s only now that the project has recruited the likes of Penelope Cruz, all the while ensuring that Will Ferrell and Christine Taylor reprise their roles, that the follow-up has gained momentum.

With Justin Theroux behind the lens, early reports have suggested that filming will get underway in Rome in the coming weeks, though Paramount hasn’t announced anything official as of yet. Still, now that the due date has been nailed down, we can expect to learn much more about plot and indeed casting from this point on.
