Bill Skarsgard’s Deadpool 2 Character Finally Revealed

Surely, the last thing on Marvel enthusiasts' minds right now is next month’s release of Deadpool 2. With Avengers: Infinity War mania having just gotten underway last night - it’s off to a flying start, in case you’ve been living under a rock - the fandom hasn't even had time to process “certain events” that take place within said film, let alone get all geared up for another Marvel movie.

Well, apparently, Peter W. (Rob Delaney), the superpower-less X-Force member, wasn’t doing what the rest of us had been dying to do since the MCU began in 2008, namely watching Avengers: Infinity War late into the night.

The utterly likeable Deadpool 2 star took to his mock Twitter account this morning, something he wouldn’t be able to do had he been up all hours of the night, and Tweeted the below image of Bill Skarsgard with the caption: “Watch out for Zeitgeist’s acid breath! It’ll getchya if his kindness doesn’t kill you first! (Seriously. SUCH a nice guy).”

Intentional or not, Peter has confirmed that the IT star will be playing Zeitgeist in the Deadpool sequel. Zeitgeist, or Alex Cluney, first appeared in X-Force #116 and was created by Peter Milligan and artist Mike Allred. Cluney’s trademark power, for those who don’t know, is the ability to spew acidic vomit from his mouth.

In addition to Skarsgard’s Zeitgeist, Peter W. also posted behind the scenes photos of his other fellow X-Force members earlier today, including Terry Crews’ Bedlam, Zazie Beetz’s Domino, and Lewis Tan’s Shatterstar. Check out the pics in the gallery down below and start getting acquainted with the colorful cast of characters.

Apart from Ryan Reynolds’ foul-mouthed mutant, Deadpool 2 will also see Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Stefan Kapcic (Colossus), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa) and T.J. Miller (Weasel) reprise their roles, alongside newcomer Josh Brolin as Cable, when the pic hits theaters on May 18th.
