Black Panther and Thanos

Here’s How Black Panther Will React To The Guardians In Avengers: Infinity War

These days, it could be argued that the idea of the superhero team-up has somewhat lost its luster, as it has now already occurred several times on the big screen. That aside, something that Avengers: Infinity War has going for it - in addition to being the culmination of everything Marvel Studios have been building to for the past ten years - is that it's uniting characters from various ends of the universe.

Seriously, when you look at it from that perspective, you have the core heroes we’ve come to know being introduced to Marvel Cinematic Universe newcomers such as Doctor Strange and Black Panther, who bring the respective elements of mysticism and bleeding edge technology along with them. Not only that, but you have the Guardians of the Galaxy swinging by Earth as well.

And therein lies some of the intrigue: Just how will our Earthbound heroes interact with the A-holes? Well, according to the studio’s newest golden goose, Chadwick Boseman, here’s an idea of what to expect:

“Obviously there is a clash, all of that is conflict but it’s not conflict between us necessarily, but it is an emotional, psychological, social conflict. I think what is good is that in this situation, you’re seeing them in my world. They’re in my world, so it’s interesting to have them enter our space, which is not something that happens all of the time. I think it’s important for us to give the flavor of Wakanda, and they’re really adjusting to our space, so that will be part of the fun of the movie.”

Although he held his cards a bit close to the vest, he further hammered home the notion of Wakanda playing a major part in Infinity War, something we’ve been hearing an awful lot about as of late. But as Boseman continued, he gave sound reasoning as to why his character would open the doors to the formerly isolationist nation:

“You have a world problem with Thanos, a problem that affects everyone in the world. So Wakanda is on the world stage and we’re obviously advanced in a way where we can help with the situation, so that is all that’s happening.”

How it all plays out remains to be seen, but it looks like we have one more reason to buy a ticket when Avengers: Infinity War opens in theaters on April 27.
