Bryan Cranston is one of the best actors around on TV and with his three consecutive Emmy wins for Breaking Bad the film world is beginning to realize his talent. Along with garnering the antagonist role in the Total Recall remake he has now been added to another high profile Hollywood project. Cranston has been added to the cast of Rock of Ages, an adaptation of the Broadway stage show.
Bryan Cranston‘s role is one that has been created in adapting the movie for the screen, director Adam Shankman announced via Twitter that his character would be the Mayor of LA. His character will be the husband of Catherine Zeta-Jones’ character who was announced to have joined the cast a couple of weeks ago. The cast also includes Alec Baldwin, Tom Cruise, Paul Giamatti, Russell Brand, Mary J. Blige, Diego Boneta and Julianne Hough. It is expected to be released in June of next year. Cranston will next be seen on screens in the summer when Breaking Bad returns for its fourth season. (Deadline)
