Bryan Singer has posted another glimpse into the world of X-Men: Days Of Future Past via his Twitter feed. This time he’s snapped a shot showing President Nixon in the Oval Office with the briefest of captions: pivotal meeting.

Most of the director’s Tweets of late have provided fans with the first look at many of the film’s cast of characters. We’ve so far had a look at Ellen Page as Kitty Pryde, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, James McAvoy as Professor X and Hugh Jackman and Nicholas Hoult as The Wolverine and Beast. The most exciting photos have been of a more suggestive nature. Singer even addressed rumours of Peter Dinklage’s role as Bolivar Trask as he posted a sneaky photo of someone wearing a Trask Industries uniform while grabbing a snack at lunch.

Singer is not the sole member of the X-Men: Days Of Future Past to open up communication with the fans though. Patrick Stewart, who plays Professor X, recently spoke at Comicpalooza. A video shot by an audience member has made its way online revealing Stewart’s thoughts on the upcoming film.

When asked what he thought of the film overall, he replied rather confidently:

“I think it is going to certainly be the X-Men of all X-Men pictures, and one doesn’t want to tempt fate, but perhaps also the blockbuster of 2014. It was a wonderful experience to reunited with those people.”

Getting down to the nitty gritty, he opened up about Charles Xavier’s return to the franchise:

“It’s been 6 or 7 years since X-Men 3, where you will recall that Charles Xavier was vaporized by whats-her-name, Jean Grey. And you’re asking yourselves, ‘If you were vaporized, how can you be in the next X-Men movie?’ Anybody got any ideas how that came about?”

A fan in the crowd shouted out “time travel” to which Stewart responded:

“Yeah, that’s exactly it. I guess. There will be an explanation, but it was a little puzzling for me because I thought my X-Men days were over. So, it’s something to look forward to.”

X-Men: Days Of Future Past unites the major players from the X-Men cinematic canon. All the cast from the original trilogy are involved; Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin and Patrick Stewart to name a few. Closing the loop are the newer additions from X-Men: First Class including Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, McAvoy and Michael Fassbender. This time the X-Men will travel in time to stop a major event from threatening both men and mutants.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past opens on July 18th 2014.
