One of my most anticipated upcoming films has got to be director David Ayer’s Fury, a WWII action flick which has a stellar cast lined up. Starring is Brad Pitt and supporting him are Logan Lerman, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Bernthal and Michael Pena. Today, we have the first images from the film, which give us a look at the cast, but not much else.

Known mostly for his gritty cop thrillers, Fury marks a welcome change for Ayer, who has proven his talent with films like End of Watch and of course, Training Day (which he wrote). His newest project is set at the end of WWII and follows an army sergeant named Wardaddy and the tank crew that he commands.

Check out the official summary below:

Fury is set at the very end of World War II, in April 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

The first image that was released can be seen above, while the rest were Tweeted out by the Ayer and co. and can be seen below. Nothing here really gives us a great look at the film as it’s mostly just pictures on set. That being said, I’m definitely excited for this one and am eager to see the first footage. If Ayer can bring that same gritty realism to Fury that he’s brought to his previous projects, then we’re in for a treat.

Check out the images above and below and let us know what you think.
