Check Out Some Of The Special Edition Blu-Rays For Solo: A Star Wars Story

Target, Best Buy and Amazon have each listed a special edition Blu-ray for Solo: A Star Wars Story, and they're all available for pre-order right now.

Now that Solo: A Star Wars Story has squandered its chance of box office glory, Disney and Lucasfilm will soon be looking to the film’s Blu-ray sales for a second revenue boon.

There’s currently no mention of an expected due date for Solo‘s home video release, but over on ComicBook.com, details of the movie’s special editions have been revealed, and they hail from all of the industry’s major retail giants, including Target, Best Buy and Amazon. All three are now taking pre-orders, too, so get ’em while they’re hot.

The former has listed a limited edition 4K Ultra HD release (see below), which includes a 40-page “filmmaker gallery and storybook” detailing the creative process behind Ron Howard’s Anthology pic. Whether this includes intel about Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s scrapped storyline is another question entirely, but if you happen to be a Target REDcard holder, you’ll be able to pick up a very special edition of Solo that includes a Millennium Falcon Metal Model Kit.

Best Buy, on the other hand, is running an exclusive SteelBook 4K UHD edition of Solo: A Star Wars Story that can be pre-ordered for $34.99. Much like the Target version, this particular package appears to bundle together the same two bonus discs, along with a gorgeous Millennium Falcon steel cover that ought to pique the curiosity of those Star Wars collectors out there.

No further details were given for the home video release of Solo: A Star Wars Story, though if The Last Jedi debuted in December, only to reach Blu-ray and DVD by April, we imagine Han’s solo flight will be available to take home sometime in October – if not sooner.
