Perhaps best known as Captain America, actor Chris Evans is looking to briefly shed his superhero image to direct and star in an upcoming romance film titled 1:30 Train. He’ll shoot the film before heading to work on Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Written by Ronald Bass (Rain Man), the film follows “two strangers who meet in Manhattan and spend one night together as the conflicts in their own lives become the basis for their exploration of each other and themselves.” According to Deadline, the film is similar to the Before movies from Richard Linklater. Judging by the description they’ve given, I can easily see why they draw that comparison.

There’s not much more to go on right now but Chris Evans is a talented actor who is currently seeing a huge rise in fame. As much as we love him as Captain America, it will be nice to see him branch out and give us something different, as we’ll certainly be seeing a lot of his superhero side over the next few years.

What do you think? Are you a fan of Evans? Are you looking forward to seeing 1:30 Train? Who would you like to see in the female lead role? Let us know in the comments below.
