Avengers: Infinity War Has “A Lot More Villains” Than Just Thanos

In Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos will finally step out of the shadows and take on the combined forces of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. After various teaser appearances and cameos dating all the way back to 2012's The Avengers, there's a lot of hype for the Mad Titan and he's set to be the biggest, baddest enemy the heroes of the Marvel universe have ever faced. Apparently, though, he won't be the only threat that Cap, Iron Man, Thor and the rest of the gang have to go up against in the film.

In Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos will finally step out of the shadows and take on the combined forces of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. After various teaser appearances and cameos dating all the way back to 2012’s The Avengers, there’s a lot of hype for the Mad Titan and he’s set to be the biggest, baddest enemy the heroes of the Marvel universe have ever faced. Apparently, though, he won’t be the only threat that Cap, Iron Man, Thor and the rest of the gang have to go up against in the film.

At the Supanova Comic-Con in Sydney, Australia, this weekend, the God of Thunder himself, Chris Hemsworth, hinted at how formidable and intimidating Thanos will be as an antagonist – but also revealed that he won’t be the only villain the Avengers will need to deal with next year in Infinity War.

So, who are these other villains that Hemsworth’s talking about? It’s possible that he’s referring to the Black Order, Thanos’ group of elite alien generals (Black Dwarf, Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, etc). It’s also been suggested that Thor: Ragnarok’s Hela could reappear in Infinity War. As she’s the Asgardian Goddess of Death, it’s thought that she could take the place of Lady Death from the comics as the object of Thanos’ affections.

Furthermore, Black Panther‘s Man-Ape has also been confirmed to appear in the movie in some capacity, and we also know that Tom Hiddleston will return as Loki and will apparently have an “integral” role to play. Suffice it to say, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are going to have their hands very, very full when Joe and Anthony Russo’s Avengers: Infinity War crashes into theatres on May 4th, 2018.
