Reports have arisen that Cillian Murphy will be reprising his role as Jonathan Crane a.k.a. Scarecrow in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight RisesMovieweb has reported that a scene was shot featuring Gary Oldman and Marion Cotillard‘s character being forced to see a “mysterious judge.” Movieweb then published a description of the scene from a Twitter report.

“It appears that exile means walking a dangerous frozen river on the outskirts of Gotham. Which would coincide with the LA River scene filmed with Gordon and his men tip toeing awkwardly in the leaked video.Oh P.S.Judge’s identity: JONATHAN F#CKIN CRANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”Cillian Murphy is back with a bang!”

It wouldn’t be a stretch to see Murphy in The Dark Knight Rises, as he was in Nolan’s last film, Inception, and his previous two Batman films. That being said, these rumours don’t seem too ironclad. With this film though, it’s hard to take anything at face value.

There are more rumours surrounding The Dark Knight Rises than any other film currently in production. Whether this is true or not remains to be seen but let us know what you think. Could it be possible that Murphy will be making an appearance in the film?

The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Juno Temple and is in cinemas on July 20th, 2012.
