Though it shouldn’t surprise anyone, Cobie Smulders believes that she’ll be back for Avengers: Age of Ultron. Speaking to the Calgary Herald, the actress said that though she hasn’t received an invitation just yet, we will likely see her in the upcoming sequel.
“I think I’m in Avengers 2, but it is very top secret. I hope I’m in Avengers 2. I didn’t get my invitation yet. Well, actually, they know I’m in it but they don’t know to what degree I’m in it. I am really excited to read the script because they are introducing Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch into the Avengers universe and the bad guy is going to be very interesting,” said Smulders.
We know that Smulders has a decent sized role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, so we assumed that she’d play a part in Avengers: Age of Ultron as well. Considering that she also appeared recently on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., it looks like Smulders is going to be sticking around for a little while.
Unfortunately, it will likely be some time before we have exact details on how the actress will factor into Marvel’s future plans for its universe but as soon as we hear more we’ll let you know.
