Given that it’s E3 week, it’s only fitting that we get our first look at Disney’s upcoming video-game themed film Wreck-It Ralph. Thanks to USA Today (via First Showing), we’ve got four colorful photos that give us our best look yet at this intriguing new animated film.

Wreck-It Ralph is the story of an 8-bit video game villain who becomes fed up with being the bad guy after 30 years smashing buildings. Voiced by John C. Reilly, Ralph sets out on an epic quest through other video game worlds to find a place where he can be the good guy for once.

In an interview with USA Today, Reilly compares Ralph’s identity crisis to when Michael Jordan switched to baseball:

“We all thought, ‘Michael, what are you doing? You have to come back,'” says Reilly. “The same thing happens with Ralph. He is the greatest guy at destroying things ever, but then he heads off to be a soldier in a first-person shooter game.”

USA Today also reports that Disney is planning multiple video game tie-ins for the film, and that in addition to Reilly, the film will star Jane Lynch, Sarah Silverman, and Jack McBrayer.

Wreck-It Ralph is directed by Rich Moore and it arrives in theatres on November 2nd.
