Creative New Poster For We Bought A Zoo

A glorious poster for Cameron Crowe's We Bought A Zoo has debuted, putting other posters to shame and making graphic designers cry. The minimalist poster features an artsy tree with animal footprint leaves, and while it says "Matt Damon" in big letters, it doesn't rely on it's star power with giant, blown-up faces.

A glorious poster for Cameron Crowe‘s We Bought A Zoo has debuted, putting other posters to shame and making graphic designers cry. The minimalist poster features an artsy tree with animal footprint leaves, and while it says “Matt Damon” in big letters, it doesn’t rely on it’s star power with giant, blown-up faces.

In We Bought A Zoo, Matt Damon plays a father who re-locates his family to the countryside, where they re-open a failing zoo. The overly famous cast also includes Scarlett Johansson, Elle Fanning, and Thomas Haden Church.

Too many posters these days rely on movie poster cliches. Don’t believe me? Enjoy this list of Hollywood’s most common poster trends. It’s refreshing to see a mainstream film with a stacked cast that still strives to be creative with its marketing.

Check out the poster below, courtesy of Cameron Crowe‘s official website, and let us know what you think in the comments.
