It’s definitely a long-shot – but the Machete actor did send out the Tweet seen at the bottom of this page, stirring up speculation that he may just be in line to play “The Main Man” himself, Lobo, in an upcoming Warner Bros. or DC project.

Warner Bros. has been trying to get a Lobo movie off the ground for quite a long time, with various writers and directors attached to different incarnations of the picture over the the years. Most recently, Brad Peyton was being lined up to helm a big screen outing for  the “Last Czarnian,” with Dwayne Johnson said to be interested in playing the lead – but obviously that wasn’t to be, and the two went on to make San Andreas together instead.

Trejo mentions “Super Dupe” in his Tweet, which has led many to speculate that he must be referring to Supergirl, and could possibly be set to debut as the character on a future episode of the CBS show. Again, that’s a stretch, but still worth keeping an eye on for sure.

Tell us, do you think Trejo would make for a good Lobo? And would you like to see the character make his live-action debut on TV, or do you think he deserves the big-screen treatment first? Let us know in the comments section below.
