It’s been a strange summer for movies, with a number of high profile flops and several highly anticipated releases failing to meet expectations. As a result, the arguments surrounding Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice feel like a thing of the past, especially as the Ultimate Edition helped to wash away the bad taste the theatrical version left in the mouths of many fans.
We’ve seen a lot of behind the scenes content from the set of the movie in recent weeks, but arguably one of the best sources has been photographer Clay Enos. A longtime collaborator of Zack Snyder’s, his work has set the tone for the DC Films Universe (he was responsible for our first look at Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman).
The latest photo revealed by Enos features a rare sight as Ben Affleck’s Batman cracks a grin while wearing the armoured Batsuit inspired by The Dark Knight Returns. Joining him in the image are Snyder and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice writer Chris Terrio. The trio have reunited for Justice League, though this was obviously taken quite some time before that happened.
Say what you will about the movie, but it’s clear a lot went into making it a reality, and it certainly has its fan. Sure, it will no doubt remain divisive for many years to come, but there are those who make a very compelling argument for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice actually becoming something of a cult classic.
