Filming is currently underway on what is undoubtedly one of the biggest films of the decade, The Dark Knight Rises. Recently, we’ve been seeing a lot of pictures from the various filming locations but we still haven’t seen anything from the studio or anything official.

Today, a couple new set photos have made their way online but once again, these aren’t from Nolan or Warner Bros, simply just more unofficial pics.

Released via The Daily Blam, they don’t reveal much and despite all the recent photos we’ve been seeing, the film is still very much shrouded in secrecy. When you take a step back and look at it, we really don’t know a whole lot about Christoper Nolan‘s latest outing.

The set photos below show off Tom Hardy and Marion Cotillard, although it’s hard to tell if it’s actually her since the photo is from behind. In all honesty, they’re nothing to get excited about. They’re out of focus, blurry and they don’t give us anything substantial.

What is a bit more interesting though is a couple tweets from Twitter user LauraMcornelius. She’s working as an extra on the film and she has been tweeting about her experience on the set.

According to her, it looks like there will be some sort of hostage scene in the film. Oh, and apparently Morgan Freeman really is a legend.

Hopefully she’ll keep us updated on what’s going on with the production but I’m surprised she was even able to Tweet about the film in the first place. Don’t they make these extras sign non-disclosure acts?

It would be safe to say that we can expect a lot more of this “unofficial” Dark Knight Rises news in the coming months. Knowing Nolan, it will be a while before we see anything more from the “official” camp.

Until then though, feel free to speculate and let your mind run wild.

The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard and Josh Pence. It will hit theaters on July 20th, 2012.
