Domino Drops From The Sky In New Deadpool 2 Set Pics

Not to be outdone by Tom Cruise, Zazie Beetz's Domino is seen parachuting from the sky in the latest round of set photos for Deadpool 2.

Not to be outdone by Tom Cruise, who is busy filming scenes for Mission: Impossible 6 above the fields of England, Just Jared has captured Atlanta‘s Zazie Beetz in action as Domino on the set of Deadpool 2.

Currently lensing in Canada, it’s been a busy week for the Deadpool camp, given lead star Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter on Monday to share our first look at Beetz in costume as the elusive X-Force member – perhaps as a way to fast-track an official image before the inevitable onslaught of set photos. And that’s exactly what Just Jared has served up for us today, which arrives on the heels of yesterday’s images that found the Merc With a Mouth all strung up above the streets of Vancouver.

It’s impossible to know for sure, but given Reynolds’ protagonist was seen dangling from a billboard, we’d wager that the Merc’s latest stunt didn’t go exactly as planned. And as JJ’s latest set snaps reveal, Wade Wilson won’t be performing that parachute stunt alone, as Zazie Beetz’s Domino is seen here dropping down from above…and she even sticks the landing.

Directing from a script penned by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, franchise newcomer David Leitch (John Wick, Atomic Blonde) is orchestrating Deadpool 2 from behind the lens. And though many feared that Fox’s sequel had succumbed to the sophomore early on in pre-production – Tim Miller abruptly vacated the director’s chair for The Terminator, followed by composer Junkie XL – everything looks to be going relatively smoothly on the set of Leitch’s follow-up.

Deadpool 2 has been slated for release on June 1st, 2018. Beyond that, there have been rumblings of a third Deadpool movie, along with an X-Force crossover that would bring the Merc, Cable (Josh Brolin) and Domino (Beetz) together with a selection of other larger-than-life mercenaries. No word on a release window for either of those projects just yet, but keep your peepers peeled on WGTC for more.
