Deadpool Blooper Reel Shows Off Hilarious Outtakes

Deadpool took the world by storm last year, charging into theatres with its R rating in hand and smashing all sorts of box office records, proving that studios don't need to play it safe in order to rake in huge profits from their comic book movies. It's opened the floodgates for all sorts of projects that otherwise wouldn't have seen the light of day and as Fox continues to build its X-Men cinematic universe, the Merc with a Mouth will no doubt play a key role moving forward.

He’ll show up next in Deadpool 2, of course, but unfortunately, the flick is still quite a ways away. Pegged for release on June 1st, 2018, it’s going to be a while before we see anything from the hugely anticipated sequel, but thankfully, we’ve got a little treat to tide us over. Made available online for the first time ever today is the blooper and gag reel from the first film, which had previously only been found on the Blu-ray/DVD.

Seen above, the video gives us an extended look at some behind the scenes shenanigans, featuring Ryan Reynolds and most of his co-stars, including Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), TJ Miller (Weasel), Karan Soni (Dopinder), Gina Carano (Angel Dust), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead) and Ed Skrein (Ajax), among others. There’s nothing in the way of deleted scenes here, but it’s a very fun watch, delivering plenty of laughs. And, like we mentioned above, it’ll help satisfy your craving for more of the Merc until the marketing campaign for the sequel starts up later this year.

Speaking of which, Ryan Reynolds’ Merc With a Mouth will be dragged kicking and screaming back into theaters when Deadpool 2 opens on June 1st, 2018. As things stand, it’ll be bookended by New Mutants (April 13th) and the long-brewing X-Men: Dark Phoenix (November 2nd).
