Out of all the movies at Sundance this year, The Devil’s Double is one of the ones that I was most interested in. I’ve read a ton of reviews on the film and have been eager to see it for a while now. The Lee Tamahori directed movie has Dominic Cooper in the lead role as Uday Hussein and his double Latif Yahia. Lionsgate picked up the film at Sundance and it looks like they really have a hit on their hands. The trailer looks fantastic and this combined with all the reviews I’ve been reading only heightens my excitement.
The movie is based on Latif Yahia’s memoirs and gives audiences “a chilling vision of the House of Saddam Hussein through the eyes of the man who was forced to become the double of Hussein’s sadistic son.” With the July 29th release date not too far off, I’m definitely getting excited for this one. Cooper looks fantastic in it and the film quite frankly looks awesome. Check out the trailer below.
