Disney Eyes Chris Pratt For Indiana Jones Reboot

Disney Eyes Chris Pratt For Indiana Jones Reboot

Deadline is reporting that Disney is hoping to revive its Indiana Jones franchise with new Hollywood “IT” man Chris Pratt eyed for the lead. Apparently, the actor would take on the titular role, replacing Harrison Ford and starting things fresh for the franchise. While details on which direction the studio hope to take the film in, be it a reboot or something different, aren’t known at this point, it is clear that they want some new blood for the series, and we can’t really blame them.

Personally, I think that Pratt would make an excellent Indiana Jones, and he’s most certainly proven to us that he’s got leading man chops. The only problem I can foresee with this is that he’d be too busy to sign on. He’s now the face of both the Jurassic Park and Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, and is also said to have a role in the upcoming The Magnificent Seven remake. Those projects aside, he’s also been rumored for several other very high-profile films and is no doubt a hot commodity in Hollywood at the moment.

If he can make it work though, I say go for it. Pratt’s humor, charm and wit would make him the perfect person to take on an iconic role like this, and he could be just the thing that this dying franchise needs.
