Dollface Returns In Riveting The Strangers: Prey At Night Teaser

While there are many different ways one can approach putting together a horror pic, the ones that we can see as easily taking place in the real world are arguably those that frighten and resonate with moviegoers most. Sure, there’s always going to be the debate regarding whether ghosts actually exist, but any given person could easily find themselves caught up in unfortunate situations similar to those depicted in The Strangers franchise.

Really, even though it’s been quite some time since the first installment debuted in theaters, its followup, Prey at Night, serves as a chilling reminder of that very notion. Still, one has to wonder how much of the sequel is based on “true events” or if it’s just riding the premise of the original.

Not meaning to get too sidetracked, but the events that inspired the first film were not of people making sure someone’s home so that they can be toyed with and killed, but rather, someone knocking on doors to see if someone wasn’t at home so that the place could be robbed. Seriously, that’s the truth. However, some true crime cases are rumored to have served as inspiration, as well.

But I digress.

Now, with the sequel’s theatrical release rapidly approaching, the marketing for it is understandably stepping up its game. In this instance, it’s Dollface who’s getting in on the action.

Thanks to the great minds behind the campaign, the latest piece circulating on social media (seen below) depicts one of the film’s female antagonists as a parody of Rosie the Riveter. Accompanied by the phrase “We can gut ’em!,” it’s bound to bring laughs to those with a dark sense of humor.

The Strangers: Prey at Night opens in theaters on March 9.
