While plot details are, of course, being kept firmly under wraps, a few tidbits have slipped out over the past few weeks and today, Dave Bautista, who plays Drax in the Guardians franchise, has revealed a couple of intriguing new details about his next appearance in the MCU. During an interview on the Talk is Jericho podcast, the actor confirmed that he’ll share some scenes with Robert Downey Jr. in Infinity War, meaning that fans will get the chance to see Drax interact with Tony Stark – something that should result in a lot of laughs, given that the two are very different personality wise.

Further in the interview, Bautista teased something even more interesting, hinting that the film will be introducing us to some new characters. Of course, he wouldn’t mention who, but you can check out his comments below.

They’re really just adding so many characters in this. ‘Cuz they’re also starting to introduce other characters like they did in Captain America [Civil War]. They’ve brought in Spider-Man. But they’re going to start moving into different phases of Marvel. So they’re introducing other characters.

While Captain Marvel is all but confirmed for Avengers: Infinity War, it’s hard to say who else the studio could introduce us to here. Given the ending of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Adam Warlock is definitely a possibility, and if recent rumors are to be believed, we may be meeting Beta Ray Bill soon, too. For now though, all we can do is speculate and wait for Marvel to reveal more, which likely won’t be for some time.

At the moment, they’ve currently got their hands full with the likes of Thor: Ragnarok and Spider-Man: Homecoming, and it probably won’t be until those two films are out the door that the attention is placed on the 2018 slate – which also boasts Black Panther and Ant-Man and The Wasp.

Avengers: Infinity War flies into theatres next year, on May 4th, and if Bautista’s comments are anything to go by, it’s going to be an absolutely epic affair.
