Universal Pictures and Legendary have revealed the cast for Duncan Jones’ Warcraft today and we must say, it’s not all that impressive. Deals have been made with Ben Foster, Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Toby Kebbell, and Rob Kazinsky, with Dominic Cooper in final stages of negotiations as well.

It’s a cast that’s made up of mostly B-list actors and while it may not be the all-star line-up that most blockbusters boast, there are a few bright spots here.

Ben Foster is one of Hollywood’s most under-appreciated talents and recently did some excellent work in Kill Your Darlings. I’m also a big fan of Dominic Cooper. He showed what he’s capable of in The Devil’s Double and with projects like Need For Speed and Captain America: The Winter Soldier in production, his star will only continue to rise.

As for the rest of the cast, well, I can’t say I care either way for any of them. That’s not to say that people like Paula Patton or Toby Kebbell are bad actors, because they’re not, I’m just not particularly smitten with their work.

In the past, we had heard names like Colin Farrell, Paul Dano and Anton Yelchin being tossed around for parts in the film too but the official press release makes no mention of any of them.

With filming set to begin in Vancouver next month, it’s fairly certain that the cast list is now finalized. Unfortunately, we have no details on the roles that any of those actors will be playing but they are indeed confirmed for the film.

Tell us, what do you make of the cast for Duncan Jones’ Warcraft? Are you particularly excited to see any of these actors joining the film? Let us know in the comments section below.
