Ed Westwick To Play Tybalt In Romeo And Juliet
After clinching a small role in Clint Eastwood‘s J. Edgar, Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick has grabbed another role, and this time a bigger one. He’ll star as Tybalt in the new Romeo and Juliet film. Variety tells us that Westwick will join Hailee Steinfeld (as Juliet) and Holly Hunter as The Nurse in Carlo Carlie‘s film. Julian Fellowes will write the script and filming is set to begin in Italy this summer.
I don’t care either way for Westwick but what does have me excited about the film is the brilliant Hailee Steinfeld. Her role in True Grit was nothing short of fantastic and I can’t wait to see her again on the big screen. Of course the biggest question that remains is, who will play Romeo? Considering Steinfeld is only 15, the actor for Romeo would have to be around that age. Who do you think could fill the role?
