After a fierce bidding war between studios, Fox has won the rights to Laura Steinel’s female-driven workplace comedy Women in Business. The film already has its leads, as well, with Emma Stone, Kate McKinnon, and Jillian Bell set to co-star in the comedy.

In addition to casting, the studio has hired Jake Szymanski – director of the upcoming film Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates – to helm the project. The movie will focus on a pair of competitive women who go on a business trip to Canada, where they peruse Craigslist to hire a third woman as their put-upon intern. Shenanigans will most definitely ensue.

Although the cast and crew is quickly assembling, there was no word given on an estimated debut for the new comedy. The cast is undoubtedly busy – McKinnon is starring in the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot, and Szymanski’s Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates has just begun a media push – but it seems like Fox will put the comedy on a fast track if it was that hotly contested by other studios.

We’ll keep an eye on news surrounding Women in Business and keep you updated, so stay tuned.
