The wheels are beginning to fire into motion for eerie supernatural thriller Voice From The Stone, as Marton Csokas has joined Terminator: Genisys and Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke for the project.

13 Films is set to lend financial support all the while handling the international sales for the feature film, which is to be directed by Eric D. Howell, who is making his directorial debut. Voice From The Stone will be executive produced by sales agent Anisi, who spoke highly about the thriller’s premise and creative team.

“I was immediately drawn to the unique and haunting script of ‘Voice from the Stone’ and am thrilled to be partnering with established producers Dean Zanuck and Stefani Gallini-Durante on the project. The beautiful and talented Emilia Clarke is the perfect actress to bring life and freshness to the role of Verena.”

Drawing upon Italian novel La Voce Della Pietra, Howell’s first foray behind the camera orbits around the character of Verena, a reticent nurse who is drafted in to help with a young boy who lost mother to tragic circumstances almost a year ago.

And in that year, the motherless child has become increasingly more withdrawn, refusing to speak under the fear of the marauding supernatural force that stalks the halls of his stone manor in Tuscany — imagine The Woman In Black, only transposed to the hills of central Italy.

Principal photography is due to commence within the Italian region in the coming weeks, and we expect that Voice From The Stone will loom into our theaters (and, likely, into our nightmares) at some point in 2015.

Tell us, what do you make of Emilia Clarke’s involvement in the supernatural thriller, are you excited to see the Mother of Dragons go toe-to-toe with a hostile spirit? Sound off below!
