Ewen Bremner Reveals New Wonder Woman Details

We're a little less than six months away now from Wonder Woman. That sounds like a lot of time, but it'll blow by soon enough. The Gal Gadot-headlined superhero origin story has massive expectations placed upon it, and we're practically praying that director Patty Jenkins lives up to all the potential in front of her lap. Details, as per usual with these superhero movies, are limited at the moment, but we're learning more and more with each passing day. Today, for instance, a few new details come to us from co-star Ewen Bremner, who's playing an undisclosed character in the upcoming film.

Details, as per usual with these superhero movies, are limited at the moment, but we’re learning more and more with each passing day. Today, for instance, a few new details come to us from co-star Ewen Bremner, who’s playing an undisclosed character in the upcoming film.

Promoting T2 Trainspotting, another big release (which isn’t as good as the original, apparently), Bremner revealed a smidge more about Wonder Woman during an interview with Digital Spy:

I play a character who’s enlisted by Wonder Woman to help save the world as part of a small, unlikely band. He’s a shell-shocked soldier who’s been discharged from the war and is brought back to help on a secret mission.

Sworn to secrecy by WB, we’re sure, this info is about the best we can expect from the actor. We’ll no doubt learn more about his role in the Amazon Princess’ upcoming film as it gets closer to its impending release date, but for now, this is definitely a nice head start.

Set in the early 20th century, the action adventure blockbuster will (hopefully) do for the DCEU what Captain America: The First Avenger did for Marvel’s Phase 1. That might be a little broad and wide-reaching, but that’s the general idea with this one. Of course, it’s leading up to the big kahuna, Justice League, which is set to hit theaters later this November.

The studio needs a hit with both films, and we’re really hoping they get just that. Early reports about Wonder Woman have been concerning, to say the least, but until we see it for ourselves, we’ll reserve judgement.

June 2nd is the date for your diaries, folks.
