When James Marsh released his acclaimed documentary, Man On Wire, he shined a bright and deserving light on the story of Philippe Petit, the man who pulled off what many refer to as “the artistic crime of the century.” Now, Robert Zemeckis is bringing the same awe-inspiring tale to theatres but in the form of a feature film titled The Walk.
Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Petit, the movie chronicles the story of the wire walker and his incredible quest to walk across a wire tied between the Twin Towers in 1974. Co-starring Ben Schwartz, James Badge Dale, Charlotte Le Bon and Ben Kingsley, The Walk presents an incredible true story supported by some absolutely thrilling visuals and solid performances from the cast.
Recently, at the NYC press day for the film, we spoke with Gordon-Levitt, Schwartz, Badge Dale and Le Bon. They discussed getting into character, the group dynamic’s on set, chasing your dreams and much more.
Check out what the cast had to say in the video above and be sure to catch The Walk as it’s now playing in theatres.
