Movies about mothers, whether they are single or married, have been coming out in droves lately. It was only a few months ago that we saw Tyler Perry’s The Single Moms Club and now, just in time for Mother’s Day, we have the comedy Moms’ Night Out.

The film follows Allyson (Sarah Drew), who has just endured another energy draining week of caring for her children while her husband Sean (Sean Astin) is out of town yet again. In desperate need of a break, Allyson invites her two best friends, Izzy (Andrea Logan White) and the pastor’s wife Sondra (Patricia Heaton), to spend an evening with her where they can relax and let their hair down. What begins as a fun night out soon turns into a chaotic evening which involves a boatload of misunderstandings that will have moms and dads chasing after each other as they try to get to their loved ones, all while struggling to keep up with their rambunctious children.

Patricia Heaton, Sean Astin and Sarah Drew were among the stars of Moms’ Night Out who appeared at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, California for the recent press day. While there, we had the chance to sit down for an exclusive interview with them and discuss the film. They talked about why they wanted to make Moms’ Night Out, which scenes rang truest to them as real-life parents, and which classic 80’s action movie Sean was trying to reference in one particular scene.

Check it out below, and be sure to catch Moms’ Night Out when it hits theatres this Friday!
