Due to hit theaters this Friday (August 7), the latest reel of footage leaves little to the imagination, and we’d advise against watching it all if you plan on going to see Josh Trank’s reboot with a relatively blank slate. One facet that is worth sticking around for, however, is at the tail-end of the clip when Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool effectively hijacks the footage to tease the release of his own full-length trailer – due to premiere on Conan later tonight.

As for Trank’s Fantastic Four, the reboot is a complete overhaul of the origins story, whisking the titular group off into a parallel dimension along with fellow scientist Toby Kebbell. It is here where the explorers – namely Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Bell – gain access to mind-bending powers of their own, and the director has stated in the past how he wants to portray a more realistic and ultimately human version of ordinary people being thrust into an extraordinary situation.

Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four will come packing the soon-to-be-released Deadpool trailer when it arrives in theaters on August 7. Until then, tell us, are you excited about the studio’s new take on Marvel’s First Family? Let us know below.

Fantastic Four, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
