Two weeks out from release, Warner’s Suicide Squad is, unsurprisingly, the focus of attention for much of the studio’s marketing campaign. But a new poster emerging from San Diego Comic-Con ushers Wonder Woman into the limelight with style and grace.
Embedded below, the beautiful one-sheet champions four key qualities that embody Gal Gadot’s title heroine: Power, grace, wisdom and of course, a healthy dose of wonder.
Indeed, Gadot’s superhero currently adorns EW’s Comic-Con special, and ahead of Wonder Woman‘s bow in June of next year, director Patty Jenkins offered some new insight into WB’s mystical origins story, along with that come-to-Jesus moment when all the creative blocks fell into place behind the scenes.
“I didn’t want to do anything more complicated. From my point of view, this was the movie I was talking to them about for about eight or nine years. I’ve met with 10 different people at Warner Bros and then it all came together in this one moment. Part of the reason I’m in such a good mood is this is the movie I’ve wanted to make my entire life. I feel so grateful that I get to be able to do this.”
Power. Grace. Wisdow. Wonder. Gal Gadot takes up arms as the titular Amazonian warrior when Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman descends on theaters come June 2017. Meanwhile, Warner Bros. is expected to host a panel for Jenkins’ offshoot on Saturday at 11:30am PT.
