So far, fan speculation has pointed to the actor possibly stepping into the role of Pip the Troll or even M.O.D.O.K. Right now, however, the studio’s given us no indication of who Dinklage will portray. Still, this bit of casting is certainly exciting, especially since the last time the Game of Thrones star showed up in a comic book movie, his character wasn’t handled terribly well.

We’re referring to X-Men: Days of Future Past, of course. While the film itself wasn’t bad, Dinklage certainly could have been utilized a bit more effectively. As such, we’re very eager to see how Marvel ends up handling him in Avengers: Infinity War. More than likely, he’s been cast as an antagonist, and while we’re excited to see the actor hopping on board, we do have some hesitations.

Infinity War is already set to be Marvel’s largest film to date. Not only will it include the titular team, but there’s also going to be roles for Doctor Strange, Spider-Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy, among others. At this point, the studio really runs the risk of stuffing the movie with too many characters. We’re mostly confident that they know what they’re doing, but we can’t help but to feel just a bit hesitant due to how many people are going to appear in the flick.

Perhaps Dinklage will just have a small role in Avengers: Infinity War before taking on a large one in the sequel? That’s certainly possible, but for now, we’ll just have to be content to speculate while we await further details.
