F. Gary Gray To Work With Sam Worthington On New Film

Deadline is telling us that director F. Gary Gray is now attached to direct an adaptation of Rick Remender's comic series The Last Days of American Crime, a project that actor Sam Worthington has been attached to for a while. It is said to be his next project after he's done shooting on Wrath of the Titans. The project sounds interesting and I do like Gary Gray. He's done some very entertaining films like The Negotiator, The Italian Job and Law Abiding Citizen. I loved all of those and this one seems to be similar. Looks like an action/heist film that fits in very nicely with the type of movies Gray has done before.

The plot goes something like this:

In the futuristic tale, America responds to a second major terrorism attack by developing technology that eliminates the impulse to commit crimes of any kind. Worthington leads a heist team that plans to pull off a final job five days before the signal rubs out the criminal instinct.
