Long before that, though, Universal will roll out the official teaser trailer for F8 on Sunday, December 11. Bringing together the film’s core cast/family – Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Lucas Black (Tokyo Drift) Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and of course, Dwayne Johnson – the event will be live-streamed via Facebook at 4:40pm PT / 7:40pm ET. Remember, we’ll have full coverage for you right here the moment it drops.

As for the story underpinning The Fate of the Furious, Gray’s follow-up opens at a time when Dom and Letty – Diesel and Rodriguez, respectively – have all but retired from the game, lapping up the sunshine on their honeymoon without a care in the world. Ditto for their tight-knit crew, but as is often the case, an emerging figure (Charlize Theron’s mysterious Cipher) pulls Dominic Toretto and the gang back for another ride, one that will see them journey from the sun-kissed streets of Cuba to the frozen plains of Iceland.

Indeed, early reports from the set indicated that The Fate of the Furious was set to stage a historic action sequence on the remote island – the biggest cinematic explosion in Iceland’s history, apparently – and that very scene can be glimpsed at the tail-end of today’s exciting teaser.

On April 14, 2017, the saga continues – Fast 8 The Fate of the Furious will screech into theaters worldwide and don’t forget, Sunday (December 11) will herald the unveiling of the film’s first full trailer, which you’ll be able to find on We Got This Covered.
