Get Ready For Tomorrow’s New Trailer With Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Poster

A stylish new poster for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has landed online in a bid to stoke excitement for tomorrow's new trailer.

Ever since Tom Jung first rolled out his ‘style A’ for A New Hope all those years ago, the Star Wars theatrical posters have always adhered to a particular design – one that so often depicts an old-fashioned battle of good versus evil, usually with characters superimposed onto various locations relevant to that particular installment.

We’re pleased to report that Rogue One: A Stars Wars Story very much upholds tradition with its brand new one-sheet. But fans will take a particular interest in this poster because it’s been rolled out as a neat primer for the reveal of tomorrow’s all-new trailer. Could this be the sizzle reel that will eventually be attached to Doctor Strange come November? It certainly appears so, making tomorrow’s sneak peek the final trailer.

Circling back to the new Rogue One poster, it’s a neat portrait of the conflict brewing in Gareth Edwards’ spinoff. Peer close enough and you’ll even seen the unmistakable mask of Darth Vader looming over the shoulder of Felicity Jones’ Jyn Erso, the heroine at the heart of this most ambitious rebellion.

Elsewhere, just recently Jones was quizzed on the finer details of Rogue One‘s by-now famous reshoots, and though the actress refrained from divulging specifics, Jones essentially played down reports that December’s offshoot was once in turmoil.

“I’m sure if you picked up the phone and called every single large, technical movie and said, ‘You ever gone in and done reshoots?’ they’d all say, ‘Oh God, yes,’ So why has it turned into a big story? Because it’s Star Wars, and they put a spotlight and scrutinize every single thing that gets done. But it was always planned and nothing unusual.

“Obviously when you come to the edit, you see the film come together and you think, ‘Actually, we could do this better, and this would make more sense if we did this,’ I’ve done it so many times. I mean, you wouldn’t just give your first draft on this story, would you?”

Also starring Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen, and Forest Whitaker, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story shoots for theaters on December 16.
