Princess Ahmanet unleashes a pent-up rage two millennia in the making in the latest and downright spooky batch of clips for The Mummy, Universal and Alex Kurtzman’s budding reboot that’s poised to get the ball rolling on the studio’s wildly ambitious Dark Universe next week.

Pegged for theatrical release on June 9th, this particular incarnation of The Mummy places Kingsman: The Secret Service breakout Sofia Boutella in the title role. Robbed of her rightful destiny eons ago, Ahmanet was thought to be safely entombed under the sands of the Middle East – that is, until Tom Cruise’s military man Nick Morton uncovers her resting place years after the fact. It’s a historic discovery for all of humanity, but as Cruise, Jenny Halsey (Annabelle Wallis), Sgt. Vail (Jake Johnson), Dr. Henry Jekyll (Russell Crowe) and the team of Prodigium quickly begin to realize, the Mummy’s sheer power and animosity defy belief. And she’s placed her crosshairs on the English capital of London.

Indeed, that rage bubbles to the fore in the film’s latest promos, which you can catch down below along with a bunch of behind the scenes footage. As far as the clips go, we’ve definitely seen a couple of them already, but there’s a handful of them compiled into one tantalizing video for you to watch, teasing the titular monster, the aforementioned Prodigium, that much talked about Zero G scene and a whole lot more.

Princess Ahmanet will unleash her wrath – a pent-up wrath spanning millennia – upon the unsuspecting masses when The Mummy crashes into theaters on June 9th. Assuming all goes according to plan, and those box office numbers are strong enough, you can expect Universal to push full steam ahead with their plans for Dark Universe. Until then, have a look at the new promo material below and let us know what you think.
